We want more width in the golf swing for timing, power and consistency but it’s very important to not force this aspect.
If you accomplish a smooth and wide golf swing you will have more consistency and power without having to force it.
Too often golfers are so focused on staying connected and keeping things tight that it restricts natural movement.
You would not throw an object all hit any other object like a hammer strike, ten pin bowling, skipping a stone etc.
Allow gravity and natural movement to give you the natural golf swing that provides more golf swing speed and consistency.
Here is a simple Golf training drill using a towel that is great in helping emphasize this feel that you want… to be wide in your golf swing and to use the body without forcing yourself into tight positions that gave inconsistent strikes and complicated swing thoughts.
Use this drill at home or on the first tee to give you the golf swing feel that is giving more wide and consistency.

Alex I am a new golfer, started this year have had a lot of good things happen, watch your videos from time to time and do like some of the knowledge you pass on. But my question is I have a right arm that a tore the muscle bag in the late 90’s. I have bowled and done quite well even with the bent arm. My question is I am a right hand golfer nd my right arm will not go out flat, (if you extend your arm and bring your fist up 3 or 4 inches that is what I deal with.. Do you think that would have much impact on my golf and in which way. I am 66 years young and can drive. 230-250 yards consistently. But I fight the slice when I try to power my swing up. A little advice would be appreciated .. I do get to golf 3 or 4 time a week. thanks for any help.. I do take you vids to the range and try new things,, but I think I get myself cluttered up a bit.. .. thanks John Whitaker Roundup mt. .
Hey John, best thing is to email. Send a swing clip. Then can really see what we are talking about;) Cheers!
