Dave Pelz gives an extremely good reason why the eyes should be over the ball in his book and DVD “10 Minutes a day to better putting”
I was talking golf with my local range asiist pro grat player +3 and student of the game(dont often go together!) about how left eye dominance is rare but a great asset in golf ( both he and Jack Nick r left eye dom) But he pointed out that me being the normal right eye dominant had a big advantage in putting as I could look down and follow the line better.Empowered by this I had 4 birdies in my next comp!
PS m told Im a good putter (tho this is prob a polite way of saying Ive got a S***swing) but my eyes are inside the line.I see putting as a mini swing, sometimes I putt with my feet!
