simple golf

This acronym is the tenant of what we do in all of our teachings and instruction.

You will know why, why you hit that good shot and why you hit that bad shot.

It is not just about becoming a better golfer, it is about becoming a better golfer and knowing why, because things change, need to understand yourself and your swing, not what the pros do, what you can and should do.

We give you the tools and methods to self diagnose and self monitor and self correct, by simplifying the swing, simplifying the game.

Our teaching methods speak to how you best learn, we need to communicate with you in the best manner by which you learn, we find that out first, we tailor our teaching practices to how you will best learn, absorb, respond, stay engaged.

And that’s why the SIMPLE golf process was born

If you follow the SIMPLE process you results, no matter your age, goals or current ability will improve drastically. And that’s a promise.

Our lessons will always include at one of these key principles as a focus but the more versed you become in each of the steps, you will become a golfer who is actually in charge and control of every single golf shot you hit.

And the beauty is, if you screwup, you will know where you went wrong!

So below you see a brief intro into our unique SIMPLE process.

S – Strategy

I  – intermediate point and intention Picking a spot dead in to tour target and shot shape you want. This is crucial because we have binocular vision

M – Matching to The Shot the whole set up, takeaway Braced tilt and and ball position to allow an efficient turn and arm flow to the S and I

P – practice Performing the task. Prediction And Precision  this is where your swing takes place. Strain free, sequence and simple mechanics etc. practice swing. Goldilocks.
Keep eyes on cutting grass between leading edge and ball

L – Let it be. Trust your swing is now.  If you do not trust everything you are trying to solve world peace, think about the argument with the wife. go strain free to the target and release. Have to trust and

E – Evaluate

S – The strategy for every shot you hit from the drive to a putt.
What is your strategy and tasks?

SHOOT – Down the line from the tee to fairway. With landing zone visible. Zoom in on it (cutaway close up of landing zone I want to hit)

Committing to a plan, a process, consistent and known, easily remembered, train your mind and body

I – Intermediate point and intention  .
he goal of the intermediate point is to help you setup your golf swing to FIT the picture/shot you just called.  That’s it. As you vision is compromised by standing sideways..
In binocular vision (looking forward), two eyes work together to focus on a single point, so the brain can determine depth and distance. Monocular vision which prevents the two eyes from having a common focal point.  This is where you focus your alignment. You are now dialing in everything to that point.

These are checkpoints
– set up – take away  – Back swing – release
The intention comes with a focus and commitment to that point and knowing it is going to have you deliver the shot you want. Intermediate point is important as it allows you to match the shot you just called to your setup. Your true shot is the one you call from behind the ball. As soon as you step sideways into your shoot your brain will try and take over and say you are not set up properly. So the intermediate point is your check point

M – Matching the set up and swing, the set up and feel to the shot and intermediate point.

  • Does that still FEEL like you are matched to the shot you called?
  • Braced tilt and and ball position to allow an efficient turn and arm flow to the S and I.
  • In this case, we want to be clipping on upswing so, we use a little tip of touching the knee to allow and upswing..
  • Reverse K.
  • Get head behind ball,
Touch on the little tweaks that can be done to allow for fades, drawas, extra yards etc but all we want for this is upswing.

P – Practice and predict with precision

This is where we are going to practice that swing you just crafted in the first 3 stages. But we can be precise in how we want to strike the ball and how the swing actually moves without over complicating or thinking about positions..

  • Does that still feel like you are matched to the shot you called?
  • Goldilock your take away to match shot/intermediate
  • Your take away (the heave) should match the swing you took before setup
  • Smooth and balanced
  • There are of course mechanics like rotation, arm fold, tempo, hip turn, leg movement.. But today I want you to forget all that

L – Let it Go. The time to Trust your swing is now.  Leave to. Go for broke.

If you do not trust everything you are toast.

  • You have to be free and release and commit.
  • If you are trying to solve world peace or find yourself thinking about that argument with the wife, forget nailing your drive.
  • Let go and be strain free to the target and release.
  • Have to trust and Stay with the shot

E – Evaluate

  • You have to be free and release and commit.
  • Did you stay with your shot?
  • Where there any errors?
  • Did it match your picture?
  • What of anything did you do / steps did you miss?

Desired end result.

If you follow each of these and implement it, you will be much more consistent with every single golf shot.
