Thanks! I will certainly try the swing you suggest. Already have parts of it in my swing..
I had an interesting experience a couple of months ago. I have a bilateral shoulder problem since early spring causing pain when lifting my arms above the horizontal plane. Instead of fighting the pain in backswing and follow through I one day in a competition among friends, 14th hole, tried a low more horizontal swing with my driver. My backswing rotation was easier, arms more passive, downswing effortless, direction good, trajectory lower, roll better and total distance 20-30 meters beyond regular distance. And I could repeat it, – if I did not try harder. Much less pain, but not totally pain free. I am working on how to make the most of it.
That is unfortunate.. this will help i’m sure. Keep us posted
One of the best videos you’ve done, and they’re all great. I’ve bookmarked it, and will watch it some more. Thanks, Alex!

Hi Alex, looks to me very Sam Snead type thoughts and positions. Sam started swing with forward press and then big deep hip turn and move weight to right heel by time his backswing half way finished. At finish weight on left heel caused by big time pivot left through impact and beyond and swing left after impact.
Good observations indeed.
Hi Alex, nice video. When doing the drill, it really feels like the arms stay more in front and swing with more freedom without coming over the top! One question regarding heavy arms. I presume the tension free arms allow the rotation of the arms in the shoulder sockets (as when swimming or throwing a ball) rather than the shoulders dictating arm movement when the arms are tense?
Hi sorry for slow response. This slipped through. Yes it sounds like a good way to imagine it.!
Look forward to your next lessons, cheers
